Two Poetry as Commemoration workshops led by writer David McLoghlin and Librarian Mary Guinan Darmody will take place on Tuesdays 14 & 21 March from 6pm – 8pm.
Participants will respond to local primary source material from the War of Independence & the Civil War and afterwards they will be invited to submit their work to a special Poetry as Commemoration archive which will be housed in UCD Special Collections. Participants who have family stories or materials relating to the revolutionary period are invited to share these, but no family connection is necessary and all are welcome.
Participants are strongly encouraged to attend both workshops. To book your place, call Thurles Library 052 6166131 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
