Two Poetry as Commemoration workshops led by Mary O’Donnell will be held at Kilkenny City Branch Library on Wednesday 8th & 15th of March, 2023 from 2.30pm-4.30pm. Participants will respond to local and national archival material from the War of Independence & the Civil War and afterwards they will be invited to submit their work to a special Poetry as Commemoration archive which will be housed in UCD Special Collections. Participants who have family stories or materials relating to the revolutionary period are invited to share these, but no family connection is necessary and all are welcome.

Participants are strongly encouraged to attend both workshops.
