Glow

by Theo

Glorious hellfire,
Whispering in the darkness,
Its light spreading through the cracks,
A deadly beacon,
It serves as a memoir,
Of brothers and sisters,
Fighting under an ancient piece of rubble.

Bitter wise men kindle the flame,
And bright-eyed children
Swarm to it like moths.
Their undying allegiance,
Is thinker than blood,
But many find themselves,
Extinguished.
