Join poet David McLoghlin for two FREE Poetry Workshops using letters, photos, and documents from Ireland 100 years ago as creative inspiration.
Saturday 8th July from 11.00am – 1.00pm.
Sunday 9th July from 11.00am – 1.00pm.
These workshops are aimed at young writers from 14-17 years. No prior experience required. Participants should attend both workshops.
Participants will respond to local and national archival material from the War of Independence & the Civil War and afterwards they will be invited to submit their work to a special Poetry as Commemoration archive which will be housed in UCD Special Collections. Participants who have family stories or materials relating to the revolutionary period are invited to share these, but no family connection is necessary and all are welcome.
