Join poet Thomas McCarthy for two FREE Poetry Workshops using letters, photos, and documents from Ireland 100 years ago as creative inspiration.

Tuesday 11th July from 11.00am – 1.00pm.

AND

Wednesday 12th July from 11.00am – 1.00pm.

Participants will respond to local and national archival material from the War of Independence & the Civil War and afterwards they will be invited to submit their work to a special Poetry as Commemoration archive which will be housed in UCD Special Collections. Participants who have family stories or materials relating to the revolutionary period are invited to share these, but no family connection is necessary and all are welcome.

No prior experience required. Participants should attend both workshops.
