In collaboration with the Thomas MacDonagh Museum, two Poetry as Commemoration workshops led by poet Thomas MacCarthy will take place on

Wednesday 20 September from 11am -1pm

AND

Thursday 21 September from 11am -1pm

Under the guidance of Thomas MacCarthy and Tori McMorran, participants will respond to items selected from the Thomas MacDonagh Museum collection that relate to the War of Independence & the Civil War. Afterwards they will be invited to submit their writing to a special Poetry as Commemoration archive which will be housed in UCD Special Collections. Participants who have family stories or materials relating to the revolutionary period are invited to share these, but no family connection is necessary and all are welcome.

Please note that workshops take place across two days and participants should attend both workshops. One ticket allows access to both workshops .
