My Peace 100 Years Later

by Abbie Raftery

My peace sounds like silence in the streets in the middle of the night
My peace looks like the sun setting upon the horizon
My peace tastes sweet like cinnamon on a cold autumn eve
My peace smells sweet like lavender flowers waving in the wind
My peace feels most at home watching the fire sizzle and crackle
This is my peace 100 years later.
