Boom, Blast, Bomb

by Laura Sherry

The War of Independence

Distraught, despair, destruction,

Explosions in the air,

Boom, blast, bomb,

People full of despair,

Anguish, atrocity, anger

Soldiers marching the streets,

Guns, gory, guards,

Debris everywhere,

War, weapons, woe,

Lives destroyed by the second,

Frightening, freedom, fighting.

Citizens wanted PEACE,

PEACE, PEACE, PEACE.
