Throughout 2023, a series of conversations with commissioned poets were held in collaboration with MoLI, the Verbal Arts Centre, and UCD Festival. Below are recordings from these events.

On the 9th of June 2023, as part of the UCD Festival programme, Victoria Kennefick joined Dr Lucy Collins to discuss her commission ‘Special Topics in Commemoration Studies: The Kerry Archives’.

On the 23rd of August 2023, poet Stephen Sexton joined Julie Morrissy at the Verbal Arts Centre, Derry, to discuss his commissioned poem, ‘The Head of a Man’.

On the 7th of July 2023, as part of MoLI’s First Fridays programme, poets Bebe Ashley and Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi joined Julie Morrissy, former poet-in-residence at the National Library of Ireland, to discuss their commissions.

On the 4th of August 2023, Aifric Mac Aodha joined Caoimhín Mac Giolla Léith, Associate Professor at UCD’s School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore, to discuss her commissioned poem ‘Hogan, Ghriangrafadóir’.

On the 1st of September 2023, poets Padraig Regan & Nithy Kasa joined Dr Lucy Collins of UCD School of English, Drama & Film, at MoLI to discuss their Poetry as Commemoration commissions.

On the 12th of October 2023, a symposium on the topic of Creative Archives was held at MoLI as part of the Poetry as Commemoration project. Poet Martina Evans spoke about her approach to historical material and her commission for the project.
