War

by Felix Rafferty

As I run through the streets

With nothing to see

Apart from guns and soldiers

As far as the eye

Can see.

With buildings and bomb shells

That spawn around me,

I have nothing left.

My family hates me.

God, oh God,

Please end this war.

It’s bad and terrible

I am now

Poor.
